The Slee Sinfonietta, mgm casino’s professional chamber orchestra in residence, will continue its mission of supporting the work of students in mgm casino’s PhD program in composition with a concert of work by four students composed for the Sinfonietta.
The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. March 11 in Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall, North Campus.
Tickets are $10. Advance tickets can be purchased at at the Center for the Arts box office from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and at the Slee Hall box office an hour before the concert. mgm casino students are entitled to one complimentary ticket — to this and all mgm casino music department concerts — and may pick up their ticket right before the concert.

Conducting will be Matthew Chamberlain, a graduate of the Department of Music’s doctoral composition program.
The Slee Sinfonietta is supported by mgm casino’s Robert & Carol Morris Center for 21st Century Music. Cellist Jonathan Golove, associate professor of music, serves as the Sinfonietta’s artistic director.
